This is a Vintage Alvarez White Eagle Banjo. This has been inspected, cleaned and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
The Alvarez White Eagle is a banjo made in Japan in the 1970's and 1980's with strong quality standards. These are works of art that sound great and are also top quality players.
This has a new flathead tone ring, these were originally archtop. The banjo sounds great still, and some people would say the flathead tone ring is an improvement. This also has a new tailpiece which could also be looked at as an upgrade. The rest of the parts are original but it is missing the truss rod cover.
The neck and resonator are both maple and this has a rosewood fretboard with some attractive flower inlay. The back of the neck has some carving at the heel as well. The hardware is chrome. This is absolutely a very attractive banjo. There is a 5th string capo that has been added but we can take that off and put spikes if you prefer. This banjo is a great way to get a strong quality banjo for a low price. This also includes a nice, new, thick padded gig bag.
Condition
The banjo is in great shape and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. This has been disassembled and all of the hardware has been run through a high powered buffer. This banjo really shines. The finish has been waxed to a nice shine as well. We cleaned and oiled the fretboard as well. The frets and fretboard are in great shape all the way down. This banjo is in fantastic condition and has been properly cleaned to make it shine like it was new!!
Set Up
This has been set up at the Banjo Warehouse. The head is a new Remo frosted head and is set to 90. The bridge is a Grover. This has new Huber Truetone. 10 gauge strings and this is set up with great string height. This banjo is easy to play and also produces loads of tone!!! It is going to be hard to find a better banjo then this at this price, especially considering this includes free shipping and a 7 day guarantee.
