I am selling a great sounding 1930 Gibson PB1 plectrum banjo with a nice, used 5 string RB1 conversion neck. The flange is in good shape but with some pitting but very little pull-up. The resonator and rim wood are in good shape and have the original matching numbers. The resonator is single bound. The rim is un-cut and it still supports the original 1/4" diameter brass tone hoop. The resonator has the more common 3 thumbscrews. The banjo comes in a newer hard shell case. The original plectrum neck is not available. The 5 string hard maple neck from upper Michigan was not cut for this banjo but bolts right up and has good action with the current height bridge. I have the neck nut and washers but the nut didn't fit the new neck. The tuners are newer Gotoh's. Asking price is $4300. Would also consider selling without the neck.
Thanks for looking.
