This is a 1922 Vega Tubaphone #9 4-String Resonator Tenor Banjo (serial number 46494). These banjos are rare today and feature beautiful intricate engravings on the neck and ornate inlays on the headstock and fingerboard. Back in their day these were just under the top-of-the-line Vega banjos and were very expensive instruments. The original head was replaced in 2019 because it was torn. This banjo is in good playing condition and comes with a hardshell case.
