Very good condition prewar Gibson Style "00" rim, uncut with original wood bead around top edge. Comes fitted with replacement flange believed to be early production Prucha, and L brackets from First Quality Music. The rim is nice and round and not egged, and has had the upper co-ordinator rod hole drilled. The nickel plated flange is in very good condition too with just the slightest bit of pull (I tried to show this in the pictures). The flange has the proper slip fit without the rim being trimmed. The L brackets have been filed a little on the ends so they do not extend past the flange's outer edge in order to better fit the resonator ledge this pot was used on.
An authentic prewar Gibson rim setup with replacement flange at an affordable price. UPDATE - there have been some inquiries. This is a "thin" Gibson rim. 5/8" at the top, 1/2" below the flange. Just to clarify. Some makers like Hatfield have special tone rings that are 5/8" wide to fit these rims. Others play them as is because they are lighter. Some good videos are on YouTube that demonstrate the tone you can get without a tone ring on these rims and you save your back at the same time.
