Crafted from African Black Limba wood. The banjo is all set up, ready to play and has a nice full sound with plenty of sustain. You can listen to this banjo being played by clicking on the link below. The tune is an old Irish reel called St. Anne's Reel and played in the clawhammer style.

The neck is straight with no string buzzes up and down the fretboard. It has Mop inlays and a frailing scoop. The string actions is 3 mm above the 12th fret. Width of the fretboard is 1 1/4" at the nut and 1 7/8" at the end. All new planetary tuners. Neck attachment is tight and secure.
The 11" rim is block constructed and has all new metal parts. Medium gauge strings sit on a 9/16" bridge. The tone ring is a 1/4" round steel rod. The head is a Remo Fiberskyn.
There is no case, but the banjo will be packed carefully and shipped insured.
