These do not come up for sale too often. A great banjo tribute to the late JD Crowe. A mahogany banjo with copper flashing makes it stand out. The banjo has a great dry sound and plats great. It has the original Gibson case and all the original paperwork. No fret wear at all. Spikes are in the neck for all key changes. The original Presto broke, and now has a satin gold with the original flap attached to it. The copper flashing on the pot metal flange has discolored, as is the case in many. It sports the original tuners, that work great. I think the Blackjacks are one of the best, if not the best sounding post war bluegrass banjos. The strap and capo in pics do not go with the banjo. Banjo was last set up by Charlie Cushman. Serial number is 75050630BLKJ
