For sale is my 2007 gold walnut Hopkins Renaissance resonator banjo in excellent (not mint) condition. Hopkins banjos are among the very best being made with the highest end parts, incredible workmanship, and great attention to detail that all come together to make a very beautiful instrument that has the combination of tone and volume that is difficult to find in most banjos. This banjo has very little playing time with no fret wear and no scratches that I could find; however, on the chance that my eyes are not seeing something I'm not rating it as mint. Notice that there is very little wear on the gold plating, there is no lack of engraving, Keith D-tuners are installed, and the burled and straight-grained walnut are stunning. This comes with the (2) original gold tuners included and a nearly new case in excellent condition as well.
I have added 4 new pics showing differences in the color of the gold on the tension hoop and tailpiece. Not sure if it was polished before I got it or if there can be differences the appear during the plating process. At any rate, it's there but it doesn't affect the playing, tone, etc.; however, that needs to be considered if you're looking to buy it.
Thanks for looking, feel free to ask questions, and no trades.
