12" Huss & Dalton "Singletree" open back banjo with H & D hardshell case.
This banjo was personally examined by Jeff Huss and verified that it was originally made with a wooden tone ring.
Some unknown person cut the tone ring down and installed a round brass rod tone ring. The brass tone ring was installed sitting on small brass screws in the rim, per some early Washburn / Lyon & Healy banjos.
Jeff Huss' comment was "whoever did it did a nice job." Huss and Dalton does not make an open back banjo with a brass tone ring, so here's the chance to own a "one-of-a-kind" instrument, maybe the ONLY H&D "Round Peak" style banjo.
I have removed the screws (saved and will be included) so the tone ring sits on the rim.
The banjo is in beautiful shape, and a great player.
Rosewood rim cap and dowel stick cap.
1 5/16" nut
Set up with 9/16" Moon bridge
