1960 Gibson TB-250 archtop. Converted to 5 string flathead (neck by me, as I am a luthier) Conversion is completely reversible, as the flathead ring is a Sullivan conversion ring. No cutting of the rim was performed in this conversion. The original 4 hole ring, tenor neck and tenor case are included with purchase as is the original troublesome stairstep tuners. It presently has modern tuners that stay in tune better. Additional photos are available if contacted. Everyone who has played this banjo says that it is the best Bowtie they have ever heard. I agree. The tenor neck and resonator are heavily checked as the five string replacement neck is lightly checking. The resonator has one small area of rash and another ding in the sidewall, shown in pictures. This banjo is not a show piece. It is for playing and it accels at that and can dominate a jam session with its volume.
