Take a close look at this mint condition copy of a late 60s Rickenbacker 6006 "Eddie Peabody" deluxe Banjoline. This impressive four-course instrument features a carved semi-solid body with checkered binding on the body AND headstock. The classic Fireglo finish is near perfect. First and second courses are single string, third and fourth are doubled with the third in unison and the fourth in octaves [12-string style]. The sound is unique and wonderful. Meant to be tuned like a plectrum banjo (Cc-GG-B-D), but easily retuned to the first four of a guitar (Dd-GG-B-E). Could also be tuned as a tenor banjo or Irish banjo with appropriate gauge strings. The neck is straight. Scale length is 24 3/4" just like the original. I installed correct gauge strings and adjusted the action. It should really have a pro setup to be perfect, so it is being offered as is. The originals were only made 1968-69 and are truly rare. They are now going for $8,000 up...if you can find one. I'm selling this Chinese repro for my cost: $500. Questions and specific photo requests are welcome. (Note: Any bright spots seen in photos are light reflections, not damage.) Shipping by UPS or FedEx Ground; buyer will pay exact rate from Nashville plus insurance, which is required. No case but it will be packed in bubble wrap and double-boxed in guitar boxes. Thanks for looking.
