Great sounding 2012 Deering Eagle II banjo. The Eagle II is Deering’s professional quality USA made maple two piece flange model with the patented Twenty Ten tone ring design. This banjo has a lot of bluegrass crack near the bridge but is highly responsive and beautiful when played closer to the neck. With the two piece flange design this banjo can be converted to an openback for Clawhammer or Old Time 3 finger style by just removing the resonator and flange. Deering sells the Eagle II in both resonator and openback configurations.
The only thing not near mint on this banjo is the fact that it originally had railroad capo spikes at 7 and 9. But they had subsequently been clipped off by someone who thought they were put in by mistake. They were later reinstalled just beside the spot where the original spikes were located. They work perfect but cosmetically you can see the posts from the original spikes in the fingerboard just beside the current spikes.
Includes Deering hard shell case. Happy to answer any additional questions.
