Hi, and thanks for looking at my ad.
I have here a beautiful Penco Resonator 5 String Banjo & Case. I took the banjo all apart, cleaned, and polished all the metal parts, oiled the fingerboard, leveled the frets, put a new set of strings on it, and one of my 100 Year Old Barnwood Bridges, and it looks great, and sounds beautiful. Comes with a case with some wear, and some of the trim is coming loose, but protects the banjo nicely.
The banjo doesn't have any marking on it to the year it was made, or where, but it looks like one of the 70's era banjos that were made in Japan to compete with the Gibson Banjos of that time. This is one of the higher end banjos being made in Japan at that time, and has all the goodies you would expect, Geared Tuners all around, Engraved Arm Rest, Straight Line Tailpiece, 20 Hole Tone Ring on a Multi Ply Wood Rim, and even the neck, and Peg Head inlays look like the Gibson RB-250 inlays at that time.
If you a looking to upgrade from a beginner banjo, and don't want to break the bank, or upgrade again for a long time, this might be the banjo you are looking for.
I have a Video of the Banjo being played if you are interested in hearing how the banjo sounds, and can send to you if you contact me.
