Up for sale is a fiddle (bought thinking that I would play it) although it has been out of the case two times). It has remarkable detailed carving. On the one piece back is detailed hand carving which is part of the back and not glued on. Made on highly figured flamed maple with unique maple binding on the ebony fingerboard. A woman's head is carved into the headstock with her hair flowing down to the back on the neck. Carved onto the chin rest are the numbers "66" and the initials "PP". included is a hard case and bow. The fiddle in is near mint condition.
