I'm selling my Gold Tone OB-250. Purchased from Turtle Hill Banjo Co. (Maryland) in 2003.
Great sounding instrument. I have not been playing in a long time due to hand issue. Spikes installed by factory at 7th & 9th frets. You will see the head has wear from playing and the rim & arm rest show a bit of tarnish, but the wood is perfect and it plays great. Nice crisp sound. Comes with TLK case. The case has black tape on one area that sustained some heat damage as it was placed too close to a heater a a jam and it started to melt. This is the Gold Tone sales text. "Features include maple neck, ebony fingerboard, maple body, maple resonator, one-piece zinc-alloy flange (for that pre-war sound), brass tone ring, brass counter hoop, Straight Line tailpiece, two way adjustable truss rod, and planetary tuning machines. Cosmetics include highly flamed maple resonator in two-toned brown sunburst, genuine mother of pearl headstock inlay, and hearts and flower neck inlay. If you are wanting to upgrade from your starter or just want to try playing the banjo without spending a lot, this is a great option. Thanks for looking.
