This is a 1930's Gibson Recording King "deeper" Resonator. They have a curly maple back and the same binding as the prewar Gibson Granada. From a one-piece flange tenor and the side walls are taller (hence "deeper"). There is a crack in the exterior sidewall veneer, but structurally this is a very solid resonator. I have tried it on several banjos and it also is a "good sounding" resonator. Some folks cut the sidewall down on these to standard depth and make them into a Granada resonator. It can be installed on a banjo as-is and it works just fine. That is how Gibson made them . Prewar Gibson resonators are getting harder to find. $395.00 plus shipping. Will accept Paypal if friends & Family option. Thanks for looking, Mike
