1920s / ‘30s Hawaii-craze era solid koa flat back mandolin in what looks like the original hardshell case. Wonderful playing condition with remarkably low action all the way up the neck, great intonation, and a sweet, melodic, effortless singing tone. Original bridge, nut, tuners, and tailpiece in really nice condition. Has quite small replaced section of rope binding, attractive varnish with light checking, and a nicely preserved inlaid tortoise pick guard. Really rare and beautiful mandolin. This is currently on the bench getting its once-a-century seam separations sealed up, I’ll include detailed pictures of how that turns out for any interested buyers. Should be ready to ship in a couple days. Offers and shipping welcome.
