Yates RS-33, from 2018. Beautiful walnut with no noticeable blemishes. The tone ring is a 20-hole, which is a little unusual and it is plated, also a rarity.
With the head drum dialed to 90 this banjo is remarkable in volume and tone. The 20-hole ring seems to deliver a warmer tone, but with exceptional clarity of the notes.
The case is a TKL archtop that appears close to new.
