I'm selling this case for a friend who has spent decades collecting Flatt and Scruggs (particularly Scruggs) memorabilia. He has decided to begin parting with a few items.
This Gibson case was used by Earl from at least the mid 70's until 2001 when he and his long time friend traded cases for Earl to use a Calton. This banjo case was used for THE banjo 9584-3 for many years except for some road and flying dates in which a Mark Leaf case was used. Also in the case are a few miscellaneous tools and rag that Earl used and a few notes and periodicals addressed to Earl. This is all verified and I have emails, information, and a letter of authenticity regarding this case. The last picture was from backstage at the Grand Ole Opry with 9584-3 sitting on top of this case.
I'll be glad to share correspondence between the owners of this case to serious inquirers.
