Nice playing Pollmann Mandoline Banjo. These were distributed by August Pollmann in the 1890’s. The Mandoline-Banjos are thought to have been made by Swedish guitar builder Pehr Anderberg. They have a very soft tone with a decent carrying sustain. Many people think they sound like a dulcimer/guitar/banjo hybrid. I would have to agree. This one plays great with low action. Good frets. Nylgut strings.

1887 Patent Stamping on inside bracing. Original Tuners. The Gerke tailpiece was replaced at some point with this nicely engraved waverly style mandolin tailpiece. There are a few professionally repaired side cracks and another small 4” repaired crack on the back. The spruce top is crack free. This thing is ready to play. Any questions? please ask. Feel free to make me an offer. Thanks
