Ray Alden's interest in Yoscos (especially modified Yoscos) got me interested. I think they are the most fascinating of all the internal resonators ever built and all 8 I have owned sounded amazing. Even Ry Cooder owns one in this pot size!
This Yosco began as a massive 13" Internal resonator pot (Yosco Colossus) with the inner wall shaved down (as Ray did with his). Rickard/Balsam hardware and a Zach Hoyt flamed maple neck. I have it strung currently as a cello (wound strings except the 5th) and it sounds fantastic. Plays like a dream. Skin head, HSC. Add a new voice to your arsenal...a DEEP voice.
