I have NO idea what wood this neck is made from, but it is HEAVY. I've never had a neck this heavy; the 5th peg and sliding capo certainly don't add much. The 3-piece 25 fret neck scale is 32 3/4" and the dowel stick measures 10 1/4". It has been used and needs to get cleaned of 'finger smutch', but it is straight as an arrow with only a little fret wear. The peghead carving is a notch above amateur.
