I wish I could tell what variety of wood it is, but it weighs only one pound two and a half ounces. It is one piece with no ears (Yes, yes, I know. Vincent Van Gogh style). It kinda looks like mahogany, but I won't attest to that. It measures sixteen inches heel to volute.
