This is a super clean and all original 1997 Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard 5 string Banjo. This has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
The Earl Scruggs Standard Banjo is a copy of the banjo that was played for years by Earl Scruggs. This is a Granada with an ebony fretboard and nickel hardware just like the Granada played by Earl. These are magical banjos with a sound that only this model has and the Earl Scruggs Standard is the best selling and most popular Gibson Banjo.
This has a 3 ply hard rock maple shell. The neck and resonator are both curly maple with nice flame. This has an ebony fretboard with a Hearts and Flowers inlay with an extra inlay at the first fret. This is all original with nickel hardware including a one piece Gibson USA flange and a Gibson USA Kulesh Tone Ring. This has a one piece armrest, Presto tailpiece and w/b/w binding on each side of the neck and resonator.
This is a powerful banjo that is in great shape and I am not kidding when I say the Scruggs Standard is the most popular Gibson Banjo model.
Condition
This was lightly used and has been professionally cleaned at the Banjo Warehouse. This has been disassembled and we buffed the metal and waxed the wood until they showed a really nice shine. The finish looks incredible and looks almost untouched. There is some light bubbling in the finish on the resonator right by the binding that is almost invisible. Other than that (and that is minor) the resonator is perfect. The neck and fretboard are both super clean and the frets are nearly perfect. There are spikes at the 7th-10th frets. This is in gorgeous condition with a super clean original case.
Set Up
This has been professionally set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia. The head is a new Huber frosted head which is set to 90 on a drum dial. The bridge is set with correct intonation. This has new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and the action feels great. This is also adjustable.
This banjo will wow you. This is a superb example of the best selling Gibson Banjo.
