This is a total new banjo consisting of mainly new parts. It is a replica of a late 30’s floor sweep Gibson RB-75. The only older component is the tone ring. It is an old ring from the Liberty Banjo Company ca. 70’s. The rim was made by Brian Sims 3 ply red maple. Fitted to the tone ring by Steve Huber. The metal is new Prucha. The resonator is new with antiqued finish. The neck is curly maple. Originally it was meant to be a conversion neck for a pre war project but customer had a change of plans after the build was started so here it is. It is 1-1/4” wide at nut and 1-3/4” wide at 12th fret. Ghoto tuners. Spikes at 7th & 9th frets. Great fit, finish and color. Neck is smooth, easy to play 1/8” string ht. at 12th fret. Really incredible tone for a new banjo. Comes with a new Superior hardshell case. Free CONUS shipping. Get it for your BAS and be ready for the festivals next year (hopefully) PM with any questions. I totally get it about building knock offs. I had these components available around the shop. I will sell the neck only if someone wanted it for a conversion but for a tiny bit more you have a great tinker banjo. No trades. Thanks for looking D
