New Frank Neat Neck with Brazilian Rosewood
Posted By: 550Spyder (+15) | Rate Member
Anyone would be hard pressed to find one in as nice, clean, original condition as this one.
1930 Gibson TB2 tenor converted to 5-string and a tone ring from the last batch of Aurora rings, made in 2013, was added. Walnut resonator and nickel plated hardware. The overall condition is excellent. There are very few marks on this banjo and the plating is very bright, exceptional for its age.
The new Frank Neat style 75 neck is mahogany stained to match the walnut resonator with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard. Spikes installed at 7 and 9. Frank also added an upper coordinator rod and installed the full weight Aurora 20-hole flathead ring.
The banjo is pictured with an original 5-string Presto tailpiece which is not included. The original Grover windowpane tailpiece will be included along with a new Gibson marked Presto tailpiece. The original TB2 neck is included, the Grover tuners were used on the new neck.
