I am downsizing my collection a bit and have decided to let go of a few banjos that aren’t getting played as much as they should.

This is a Boston made Haynes Bay State 301 that has been converted to a Fretless. The ebony fretboard has been inlaid nicely with star and moon MOP. The tuning pegs and tailpiece are nice reproductions from Mark Ralston. They look and function great on this banjo. Set up nicely with Aquila Nylgut Minstrel strings. This is one of the nicer sounding and playing Fretless banjos I have owned.

11 inch pot, 33.5 inch overall length, original hooks and nuts. There has been a well done repair to the tailpiece end of the dowel stick.

Any questions please ask. Let me know if you would like any additional photos or sound clip.

*** added YouTube sound clip link below. My apologies for the sloppy Fretless playing. I’m rusty.
