Go to YouTube Dave Hum comparing banjos, BEST POSSIBLE, full weight bluegrass banjo with the LEAST possible investment. Epiphone Master Built -250 (MB-250), (not to be confused with the much lesser Epiphone 200) 5-string bluegrass banjo in like new condition, hard shell case, 3# bell brass tone ring, heavy Gibson style one piece flange, hearts and flowers inlay, full thickness rim, by far the best hard core bluegrass professional grade banjo you can buy or build for under $1000, loud and great tone, nice playable neck, one of Dave Hum’s (YouTube) favorite banjos. Recent set-up. Absolutely beautiful fit and finish…unbelievable for this money, IMHO! I cannot figure out how to get this good of finish on my parts banjo neck and resonator which I’m getting tired of trying to do.
If you, or I, were blindfolded and Earl went back and forth between his Granada and this banjo you (I) couldn’t tell the difference. Well just maybe you could but I doubt I could.
I could easily keep this as my only banjo, and I probably should, as I can part out and sell the parts of my parts banjo for well over $549.
