One of the cleanest examples of a 1930s Gibson you’ll ever find. This TB-1 conversion features a Robin Smith maple hearts and flowers Gibson neck with Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, new Waverly tuners, and a new 5 Star 5th string tuner! It also comes with the original neck with tuners, and original case. The banjo is believed to be all original and very very clean. The tension hoop is engraved which is a rare find and if sold separately would bring between $1000 to $1500 per Jim Mills. The original one piece flange has a bit of pull but not too bad. The armrest is bent just a t near the tailpiece. This could be straightened, but I’ll leave that to the buyer. The banjo will come in a modern era Gibson banjo case! It has a Davis/Robbins unplated no hole ring installed by Tim Davis himself. There is a modern presto tailpiece on it but the original tailpiece is included. Serial number, 293-6, is matched with the rim and resonator. Has a very full and strong sound with tone for days. Buyer would be welcome to come take it for a test drive.
