This banjo has a 12” figured white oak rim and a two piece white oak neck. The neck wood has aged over 40 years. The top of the rim has a 1/4” bead turned onto the top as a tone ring. Similar to some Bacon models. The neck is the same dimensions as all my necks, with the 5th pip marking the 5th fret of a 25,5” scale. No position markers, so you can experiment with different scale lengths by simply moving the bridge. Aquila red strings, Menzies goat skin head and an old growth Douglas fir bridge. Cast bronze BB tailpiece and a cast bronze Lyon and Healy style neck brace. Very lively sound with easy playability. Priced without case. Gold MOP side dots can be added if you are uncomfortable with no position markers. Thanks. Any reasonable offer accepted during Covid.
