2001 Martin DR "Road Series" dreadnought guitar, serial no. 894876, Made in USA
Mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, pearl dots, Corian nut (1.69" wide), frets are near perfect, no wear to speak of.
Solid spruce top, HPL rosewood sides and back, rosewood bridge ( with 2 cool looking, parallel, black stripes across it), bone saddle, which may not be original, but was on there when I bought the guitar in 2009. Faux tortoise-shell pickguard. Single circle, herringbone rosette around sound hole. Has what called A-frame, X-bracing.
Lower bout, on bass side, has darkened up where your arm lays on it.
Sides of headstock, especially bass side, are slightly marred up, from previous owner using some sort of string winder. Looks worse in the photo than it does in " real life".
Action is good, plays easy.
Couple small "dings" on headstock, one small ding on the spruce top, down in the previously mentioned darkened area.
No cracks, no repairs.
Comes in a nice, molded ABS plastic, Martin case, with gold plush lining.
Overall, a solid, nice feeling, easy-playing, good sounding Martin guitar. It's held its own at many festivals and jams over the years.
