venerable original D-28 Martin Acoustic Guitar in original hard case.... Rare 1st year for 14-fret model in exceptional fully original condition. Original finish, original bridge, original pickguard, original tuners....crack-free. A total of seventy-two 14-fret D-28 guitars were made in 1934, 41 had the ebony bar neck reinforcement...this is one of only 24 that had the Steel T-bar and T-frets. Three tiny screw holes in peghead from grandpa's nameplate and one shadow area of finish wear between pickguard and bridge (gramps applied small additional plastic piece to avoid pickwear...no resulting harm to spruce top..just the shadow). Just as sweet as they come. Definitely one to put back and watch the value increase. Not all investments play great and sound like bacon smells...rare as hen's teeth and, as has often been said, worth it's weight in gold..(75 ounces )...trade for Lloyd Loar F-5 in comparable condition or $/trade equivalent...
