This is a Pre World War 2 5 string Banjo made by Beltone. This has been fully inspected and set up at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta Georgia.

Description

This is a really cool banjo that was made sometime in the 1920's or 1930's. Beltone was an american manufacturer and this is a really interesting banjo. This has a pretty thick maple shell with a curly maple neck and resonator. The fretboard is ebony. This is all original and this looks great! This definitely has the vintage vibe and sound and could be a really good banjo depending on what style of music you play. I could see this being perfect for folk and Americana style music. This also has a newer hardshell case.

Condition

We professionally clean every banjo that comes through our shop. This has been disassembled and we buffed all of the hardware with a high powered buffer. The metal on this has a really nice shine. All of the wood has been waxed which also has left a nice shine. The fretboard has been oiled and this feels great to play.

The banjo is in good shape even without a cleaning. There aren't many marks at all on this. The frets are in killer shape and I believe they are original. The case is clean as well.

Set Up

We also professionally set up every Banjo that comes through our shop. This has a vintage Hyde head which I believe is real skin and possibly original. The banjo has correct intonation. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings and this plays great. This has a nice folky tone and is set up for easy playing.
