The Gibson banjo with a factory tone ring from Jim Faulkner is quite rare. This TB-250 is from 1969 with serial number 910163. The Faulkner ring has been verified by Frank Neat and weighs 48.6 ounces. The original rim (which is included in the sale) is a thin multi-ply and has been replaced with a Sullivan red maple 3-ply rim. Obviously now the Faulkner ring can do it's job on a quality rim. All of the hardware is original and looks stunning. The resonator has minor wear and looks great as well. The new mahogany neck is by Eric Sullivan at Sullivan banjo who for many years made necks for Gibson banjos. 5th string spikes are installed at the 7th and 9th frets and this banjo has a deep powerful tone. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking!
