This custom made 11" walnut banjo has a Whyte Laydie tone ring and skin head and features an intricate Queen of Hearts peghead inlay based on a vintage French playing card. It is bound with bloodwood and rosewood binding giving it a delicate red line around the fretboard and peghead which matches the red heart and position marker dots which are done in
reconstituted stone. It also features mammoth ivory for the card background and heel cap. Fielding tailpiece. The scale is 25"
and nut width is 13/8". Nice TLK tweed hardshell case.
This is a one-of-a kind instrument handcrafted by Greg Galbreath. It is serial number #152 from 2014 and is virtually unplayed.
Here is a great video of Greg and his banjos. This instrument is featured as it was in the building stages highlighting the custom peghead inlay: youtube.com/watch?v=BFrRvqiBYZ0
