Nice vintage (1920/30's) 10 3/4" birdseye maple pot mated to a newly crafted 5 string neck. The banjo is all set up and ready to play. You can hear this banjo being played in the clawhammer style by clicking on the link below and listen the the tune called Waterbound in the key of G.
The vintage pot is all orginal except for new hooks, nuts, shoe bolts, head, tailpiece and dowel stick. The fiberskyn head sits on an original1/4" round steel rod that serves as the tone ring. The brass armrest is vintage and shows some tarnish where the nickel plating has worn off.
The 3 piece neck was crafted by me from asian birch and pecan. The ears on the peghead are birdseye maple. It has the standard 26 1/4” scale rosewood fretboard with rosewood peghead veneer and heel cap. Width of the fretboard is 1 1/4” at the nut abd 2” at the end The neck is straight with no string buzzes and notes true up and down the neck. String action is 2.5 mm above the 12th fret with a 1/2" bridge. The banjo weighs in at 5 lbs.
There is no case, but the banjo will be packed carefully and shipped insured via USPS retail ground.
