While certainly worse for wear than when it left Kalamazoo nearly a century ago attached to some incarnation of the Granada model, this tailpiece is still ready to go back to work on a gold plated banjo. A hole was drilled to accommodate use on a five string banjo, and a crack on the bass side of the tailpiece was repaired with epoxy. This repair obstructs the bottom hole for ball end strings, but does not effect the functionality of the tailpiece for using loop end strings. There is also a smaller crack at the base of the tailpiece’s treble side, which has not been repaired. This treble side crack, while certainly not ideal, doesn’t inhibit the functionality of the tailpiece. Thanks for looking.
