Good looking, big and beautiful describes this banjo. This L&H is in great playing condition; the neck has the tiniest (proper) amount of relief and the only fret wear is on the first fret of the second string. Their are a few tiny nicks and scratches on the back of the neck and a chip missing between the last fret and the tension hoop. The scale is 27 inches. You get to polish the fully spun rim.
The action is low, 3/16th 4th string over the 12th fret. Six bracket nuts are replacements and the cover over the tailpiece is missing-as usual. The skin head is tight, the strings are new Aquila "Minstrels", the tuners hold just fine. I don't have a case for this big boy.
This banjo will please both a classic player or an old timey player. It has lots of volume and the low'C' will knock you over.
Please ask for details-pictures or whatever.
I have a LOT more old openbacks, ask and you shall receive-info that is. Paul
