1996 Gibson RB3 5 string Banjo
This is a gorgeous example of a mid 1990's RB3 banjo with a clean original case. This has been set up and inspected at the Banjo Warehouse in Atlanta.

Description
This is mahogany with nickel hardware. The shell is a 3 ply hard rock maple shell. The neck is mahogany with a rosewood fretboard. The fretboard has a leaves and bows inlay pattern. There is white binding which has yellowed on each side of the neck and resonator. The banjo is all original and includes a Kulesh Tone Ring. The flange is a Gibson USA flange, one piece armrest and Presto tailpiece. This has all of the pop and bang that is to be expected out of an RB3 banjo. This also includes an original Gibson Hardshell Case.
Condition
This is in overall great shape. There is some checking in the resonator but that is about the only wear present. The hardware shines and really looks clean. The finish itself is clean but there is checking in the resonator. The neck and fretboard are clean and the frets have minimal wear. Only the first few frets have wear at all. Even the original case is clean.
Set Up
This has been professionally set up here at the Banjo Warehouse. This has a no name frosted head and a no name bridge with an ebony cap. The strings are new Huber Truetone .10 gauge strings. The head is set to 90 on a drum dial. This is set up with nice action that is adjustable and correct intonation. This is a great looking banjo that is set up to be a joy to play and sound fantastic!!!
