12 inch Enoch flush fret Dobson banjo with geared Peghed violin type tuners. Beautiful engraved star in the peghead. Flush frets patterned after the 1883 Fairbanks banjo shown in Jim Bollman's book: America's Instrument The Banjo in the Nineteenth Century. Gold tone calfskin head. Banjo has two small blemishes on the rim. These are shown in the photos. Super nice sounding banjo for minstrel or guitar style. Could be set up with steel strings to play old time styles.
