This classic banjo uke was built in the 1930s but I have refurbished the neck, replaced the fingerboard, peghead and heel cap. These are not the original inlays. The neck is refinished in mint condition. The resonator is in excellent original condition with no scratches, dings or wear. The metal work is nickel plated and in excellent condition. It has a new skin head, nylon strings, metal friction pegs in excellent condition. I have built a small wooden mute that goes onto the bridge out of maple. Tone down the volume and tone. It comes with the original form fitting case which needs to be refurbished. It has a 7.5 inch head and 9 .75 resonator diameter.
I wonder how this would play if it had a bluegrass or tenor neck on it The pot has the horsepower to stay up with the big boys, that’s for sure. It would be a great novelty to pull this out on stage and rip off a fast instrumental. It might sound like Ralph Stanley on steroids.
