Best of the old and new! Old rim and ring, new neck, resonator and metal.
Top shelf banjo with pre war Gibson parts including a solid three ply, full thickness, prewar Gibson Recording King rim turned by Steve Huber for a 1927/8 Gibson "no hole" raised head tone ring. Out of respect for the old pre war rim, I stayed with the single co-rod configuration. The new resonator is outfitted with three wall lugs.
Other features include a beautiful looking and playing walnut neck with the wreath pattern inlaid in the rosewood fingerboard. The highly figured burl walnut resonator and straight grain walnut neck are both from the shop of famous East TN luthier Clancy Mullins.
New Prucha one piece flange, an amazing Sterner tailpiece from Germany, Rickard Cyclone 10:1 ratio tuners with boxwood buttons from Canada. Schaller fifth string tuner. Quality hard case.
This wonderfully crafted, great sounding, stage ready, raised head banjo is in outstanding like new condition and priced to sell. Sorry no trades. Thanks for your time to look at my ad. Email me with questions.
