Crafters of TN, 5 string, flathead in beautiful condition. The curly maple used in this banjo is comparable to, and exceeds in some cases, the quality used by Gibson in the ESS. The maple is stained sunburst and the cosmetic condition of the wood finish is almost unblemished. Likewise the nickel plating shows incidental wear and oxidation.
The fingerboard is ebony and features a very attractive pearl inlay pattern. The peghead inlay is abalone and is quite stunning.
The banjo is extremely playable and the notes are uniform all over the neck. The tone ring is the original Tennessee 20, that was developed for this
line of banjos.
The Crafters of Tennessee banjos are quite undervalued and under appreciated, in my opinion. Considering the materials, workmanship, and performance level of the Crafters of TN banjos, this banjo represents a bargain in the truest sense of the word.
Why spend money on an imported sweatshop banjo, some close to the same money as this banjo, when fine American-made banjos are available?
