This banjo has the best of that Sullivan v35 banjo sound.
It's difficult to find a walnut Sullivan banjo, since very few were made.
This is the banjo model that made the Sullivan banjo famous: 3-ply old growth factory floor rim, and the incredible V35 tone ring that was patterned after Bill Sullivan's PreWar flathead Gibson (called "Myrtle").
If you have played a V35 Sullivan, you know the incredible tone and responsiveness that they deliver: growling low tones and clear mids and bell-ringing mids highs.
And this V35 responds.
I bought this new in 2017, and it remains in near mint condition. There are no scratches or damage, and the only minor flaws are a minor lacquer ding on the edge of the headstock, and some surface wear on the armrest.
I do not want to sell this banjo. I am moving overseas soon, and I have 5 Sullivan banjos, and this is the only one that I could possibly buy again in the future (the others have one-of-a-kind rare old growth wood for their necks that I would never be able to find or buy those again).
I might be willing to consider a trade for an exception F-style mandolin that is comparable in price (a Northfield or Gibson).
