This Gibson Style 6 started out as a tenor F.O.N. 9360-41. Now with a brand new Frank Neat neck this banjo is ready to go. The pot is all original and the original 40-hole with style 6 engraving is included. This 90 year old gem currently has a prewar lightweight low profile flathead tone ring installed. Either rim can be used without any modification to the rim. The 9360 batch had several flathead 6's in it and with this one you get the best of both worlds. The flathead ring was originally nickel and has been engraved and gold plated by Greg Rich. If you'd rather have this banjo with it's archtop ring, I'd be glad to swap the rings. Both rings are included with the purchase. Here's a chance to own a prewar Gibson "Sparkle 6" as an archtop OR flathead. Below is a video ling as it is right now as a flathead.
