This TB-1 was shipped on December 2, 1935 to J.J. Billek, a Gibson teacher-agent in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It's in excellent original condition with a flange in such great shape that at first glance it looks like a new one. The only problem (and it's a small one) is that the "window" tailpiece has developed a crack at the bend, but of course most people install a Presto when converting one of these banjos. As a tenor, #258-1 has a volume and depth that bode well for its future as a five-string. This one is housed in a beautiful "red-line" #511 case by Geib and Schaefer. Please click on the "more info" link for complete photos and description. Sorry, no trades.
