I am thinning out my very large collection of stringed instruments (numbering nearly 200), which I began in the 1970's. This listing is for a beautiful Wildwood Paragon 5-String Banjo with black walnut burl resonator. It is in excellent condition--rarely out of the case. Curly maple neck and black walnut burl resonator, and classic Wildwood ivoroid binding and wood purfling on the neck and resonator. 87% bronze alloy flathead tone ring, 1 pc. cast flange, block laminated rim. A distinct mother of pearl traditional inlay pattern.
Specs for the Paragon are:
Eastern hard rock curly maple neck
Unique Wildwood block laminated rim
Black walnut burl resonator –tapered walls, bound and pur??ed
Ebony fingerboard, peg head, and heel cap
Spikes on 7th, 8th and 9th frets
Bone nut and 5th string nut
cream colored ivoroid binding and wood purfling
2 way adjustable truss rod
Nickel silver frets
Length: 26.25” scale length
Width: at nut 1 1/4”; at rim 1 15/16”
Gotoh geared tuning machines
Nickel plated brass/bronze hardware
Presto tailpiece
87% cast bronze tone ring (flathead style)
Cast 1 pc. Flange
2 coordinator rod neck adjustment system
All inlays cut from premium abalone or mother of pearl shell
Like all of my instruments, it has been pampered and wiped down each of the 4-5 times it has been out of the case.
