Doc's Banjo #147. I Purchased this banjo from DOC while at Wintergrass. Played many of his banjos and decided this was a truly unique instrument. This banjo has 12 inch pot, scalloped fretboard with Bronze Fret inlays. Like playing a fretless banjo with the frets and gives that fretless sound and feel. The pot and neck are Wenge with a neck stringer of Ironwood. To give it a warm rich vibe it has a Red Grenadillo tone ring. The fretboard and headstock are are Coco Bollo. The instrument has a 25 inch scale and is currently strung with Aquilla Nylgut Minstrel strings.
Comes with a hardshell case.
I am in the process of selling off much of my collection as do not have room for it due to downsizing my home.
This banjo is like new. Happy to provide additional photos fro SERIOUS inquiries.
