I am not trying to fool anyone! I believe this to be a totally rebuilt original Paramount-rebuilt to get rid of the 'twist' common to these banjos. It's obvious that the fretboard has been replaced by someone who knew exactly what was needed to accomplish this difficult repair. The wear on the neck finish and the holes for the original tuners are clues to its originality. All that being said, I COULD BE WRONG.
I have owned this banjo for 13 years and just set it up for sale. The action is very good and it sounds great with metal strings. There are a couple of cracks in the resonator veneer but everything on the pot looks original.
I am pricing this banjo at half what a total original would be and slightly above what a confirmed repro neck would be, although I am now willing to listen to offers. No low-balls, I'm not desperate.
