This instrument was built for a Gibson employee in 1928. It is fully documented by Jim Mills and Joe Spann and comes with a geneology tracing it through the family. The original Gibson Factory Order Sheet/sales receipt from Gibson is included showing the employee received a discount. The banjo is a tenor with a blonde highly figured Curley maple finish , 40 hole arch top, 3 ply full thickness rim , and has a Robin Smith 5 string neck neck . The Gibson label is intact as are all the matching serial numbers. It is FON #9048-1 . Completely original with tenor neck with original pearl tuners and case.
This banjo was custom ordered from the Gibson Factory on 3/27/28 and delivered 4/24/28. The ORIGINAL Gibson Factory order sheet/receipt as well as the traced family history is included. This is a "One Off" Gibson TB Granada Special from 1928.
It is super clean and completely original.
