"One of a Kind" banjo by Geoff Stelling. The "Grand Teton" banjo has heavily engraved chrome and gold metal with scenes from around the Grand Tetons. The inlay on the fingerboard is of the Teton River as it meanders along with aditional inlays of indigenous animals and plants from the area. The peghead has a Bull Moose inlay and the resonator is inlayed with the Tetons in the background and a Bull Moose standing in the front of the mountains. Truly a great sounding instrument and a work of art. To duplicate this instrument today would most likely be in excess of $15,000.
Banjo is uniquely made from KOA wood which gives it a rich warm sound. This banjo was displayed by Geoff at IBMA in 2008. It has been on display in my personal collection since then and is like new.
